I am contemplating a New Year resolution. 2013 will be a year of “life logging” – taking pictures of every day/second of your life. With two camera Memoto and Autographer marketed this year, it’s actually possible now to store all those photos. But should I do it?
I am on the fence about whether to do it:
1. The vain side of me says that every moment of my life matters – so why not have a record of all my adventures? Plus, the footage I get will be very frank – something that’s hard to stage when you are posing for a camera.
2. My kids and great-great-great- grand kids will know exactly what I was like. But having every second of my life recorded would be too much info, no?
3. In the near future this life logging footage would be used to build a model of me based on my behavior patterns. That model used in augmented reality will basically “resurrect” me – it will walk and talk like me.Great, people can talk to me after I die. But then again it’s creepy.
So I guess I could start this year. But the thought of it is still a bit strange…
